MAY RAIN
Golden chariot with silver wheels
Horses are in foam
Sky’s conjoining with soil
Drizzling so fine
Goes about round the Earth.
Golden chariot with silver wheels
You ought to see the children’s joy
With love Sun nourishes the desire to live
Even if the World goes topsy-turvy
The nature is upright.
Golden chariot with silver wheels
Shining branches are hand in hand
Air belongs to everyone
Sky is over every home with its stars
Friendships grow like branches.
Golden chariot with silver wheels
Earth-essence fragrant beloved
Won’t choose mountains over plains
To provide for all living
Sets example of equality.
Golden chariot with silver wheels
Fire burns every hand
May five fingers not be the same
But, five fingers are in every hand
Rain heralds joyful tidings.
Golden chariot with silver wheels
Desires leaf out
Cleansed of evil-doing
After rain on a May morning
Our world turns new.
